We built SolarAnswersNow because California homeowners deserve straight answers about solar without the pressure and the hype.

If you have spent any time researching solar online, you have probably been bombarded with ads making dramatic promises, salespeople showing up at your door, and websites that feel more like sales funnels than information sources. We got tired of watching homeowners either get talked into systems that did not make financial sense for their situation or walk away from genuinely good opportunities because the industry made everything so confusing and so pushy.

The solar landscape also changed significantly in 2025 and 2026. The federal tax credit expired for customer-owned systems. NEM 3.0 changed how California utilities credit excess solar power. The economics of solar are different now than they were two years ago, and a lot of the information circulating online is outdated. We wanted to build a resource that reflects the actual current situation honestly.

Here is what we are and what we are not. We are a small independent operation that connects California homeowners with a select group of vetted, no-pressure solar reps we personally work with. We do not install solar. We do not sell solar products or systems. We do not operate like high-volume lead marketplaces that sell each homeowner’s information to multiple companies. When a homeowner requests information, we may connect them with a small vetted network of solar representatives who can respond to that specific request.

Most solar lead sites sell each homeowner's information to four to eight different companies, which is why filling out one form turns into weeks of phone calls from strangers. We deliberately do not operate that way. Every rep in our small network has been personally vetted for honesty, product knowledge, and a consultative approach that does not rely on pressure tactics. Your information goes to one of them — not a call center, not a lead pool.

We believe being honest also means telling you clearly when solar does not make sense for your home. It means giving you information that is current and accurate — not information designed to get you to sign something today.
